Naast het oplossen van stoffen in bijvoorbeeld water of alcohol, om ze vervolgens te laten kristalliseren kun je de stoffen ook direct smelten. Op een kookplaatje is het makkelijkst. Dat levert soms spectaculaire kristallen op. Nog uit te zoeken welke stoffen ik hier gebruikt heb.
Vanochtend heb ik uitgezocht welke stof of stoffen ik nu precies gebruikt had. Erythritol en Ureum dus.

Vandaag Green Sweet op de glaasjes. Op een daarvan vond ik deze kristallen.

De suikervervanger Green Sweet bestaat natuurlijk ook voornamelijk uit Erythritol met als toevoeging Glycoside (0,2%).

Erythritolkristallen gefotografeerd in gepolariseerd licht. Vergroting is door het gebruik van de tussenringen ongeveer 7:1.

Vandaag ben ik weer bezig geweest met de suikervervanger Sukrin, dat bestaat uit 100% Erythritol.
